Treasurer Candidate: Alexander Kats

Hi, my name is Alex Kats, and I will be running for treasurer next year. As treasurer, I hope to create a sense of community here at Newman after a trying couple of years by promoting and organizing fun and interactive activities for our grade to participate in. First, to raise money, I hope to help organize sales events, for example, Newman School merchandise sales (phone cases, key chains, masks, etc.) or bake sales. The proceeds from these sales would go to organizing larger events, for example a sports day (a small Newman-style version of the Olympics) or a game day (an after school gathering where sports games, video games, board games, etc. would be available to students to create a better, more communal atmosphere at our school). I have already had experience in student council when I was in Middle School, where I have already helped organize such events, so vote for me to get a savvy and experienced representative who will work to make your time at Newman as fun and memorable as possible!
