Newsman Releases Its Very First Print Publication!
So, are you team paper or digital? Nonetheless, whichever side you're on we can all agree that Newsman’s print publication was an exciting feat for all students of the school.
The club’s writers, reporters, photographers, and cartoonists spent their time interviewing peers and collecting snippets of the fall season. All was done in an effort to provide a recapitulation in preparation for a new semester. Throughout the course of many weeks, extra meetings and time were put in creating the format, collecting information, and planning the actual copy.
All preparations reached their peak on a crisp Friday morning, where the Newsman team walked over to Sir Speedy and printed out copies for the entire school. The copies were handed out during advisory meetings, placed in hangout areas, and shared with students and faculty.
Sofia Monuteaux ‘26 shares with us that “the formatting was nice and I liked how descriptive the photo credits were” (something I’m sure the formatters are appreciative of). “I also learned more about other people in the school and got to know them.”
The newspaper was a great way to bring the community together and share stories about sport seasons, field trips, the wonderful theater production, as well as debate and opinion pieces. Newsman was very happy to release this publication, and is looking forward to the next, so stay tuned!
